If you were around in the early 90s then you may have seen a virtual reality computer game in your local shopping centre where they were thought to be the next big thing to sweep the nation. Although these games allowed you to take up the pilot's seat in a fighter jet, they just never became as popular as people thought they would be.
The problem with them was that you had to wear a helmet that weighed a tonne and the gloves that you see these days that act as control devices just didn't exist or at least the games to use them in didn't. These machines were very expensive to play on and the main reason they failed was because of the lack of thought. The technology wasn't great and the graphics definitely not good but that would have all been forgiven if the games they made were great. These games would probably have still been around today if there had just been one game to capture our imaginations.
In 2007 there was a new upsurge in virtual reality gaming and this was brought about by companies like Icuiti who produced a version of the virtual reality head set that actually fit in a pair of glasses that you would wear quite easily. This new headset was known as the iWear VR920 game controller and it allowed you to become a part of the game; it could be used with role playing games which were already very popular so it became the first of the next generation virtual reality games.
Giving the impression of being inside a game with the help of a headset or glasses is something that a lot of game developers have been working on over the years. With 3D surround sound earphones, you could become even more immersed in the game and you could just get away from reality for a while.
R4 card are used in a great many products today. An RD card is a superb example. Yet another thing that you may see widely available is the ps3 jailbreak.
