Is The Time Right To Become A Game Tester?

If game testing is something you have always fancied trying your hand at then you may be wondering if it would be a good time to look for this type of job. Although there will be plenty of people telling you not to bother because this is a profession that has enough people already or that you should not bother because gaming is on the way out, this is not the truth. The reality is that there have never been as many opportunities for the enthusiastic game tester who is determined to be a success. Here are just a few of the reasons why this is true

  • While it is true that PC gaming is on the decline this does not spell the end for game testing. The fact that people seem to be playing online games now means that there are more opportunities than ever for the game tester. More people are now playing games than at any time in the past and the rise of online gaming has been responsible for this. People from all walks of life, young and old, have discovered the joys of this type of activity. This means a huge increase in demand for game testers.

  • There are a number of people who thought that game testing communities would pose a threat to game testers but this is not the case at all. What the game testing communities have done is become a training ground for those who want to make a living testing games. Although the pay is not great with the game testing communities it allows those who do work there to get the experience they need to get the better paid jobs. This is good for the game testing profession as a whole.

  • As well as the larger game developers still being there, there are also a number of smaller game developers around. This means a leap in the employment possibilities for game testers. Many of these smaller operations will be willing to take a chance on game testers who don't have a lot of experience.

R4 are employed in lot of products today. An RD card can give you a terrific illustration of a memory card. Another thing currently in use today is the ps3 jailbreak.
