Best Flash Strategy Games of The Web

Those of you who have read my articles before know that I'm a big fan of flash games, and more than once I've rated a variety of flash games and talked about which ones are the best flash games and which are the worst. It's about time I went into detail about my favorite games in each gaming category. Here are my favorite games from the strategy games category.

Phage wars. I don't have much to say about this one other than that this is absolutely one of the best flash strategy games I have ever played. The concept is simple, you are species of bacteria (or virus not particularly sure) and your job is to multiply and take over cells in a strategic way so that you could wipe out all other species of bacteria. You could prefer a species with solid capabilities for a easy game or a weak bacteria for a difficult game, and there are numerous species to choose from.

I think some of the top flash games out there are tower defense games, and as far as tower defense (TD games are a sub category of strategy games, for all those of you who are concerned) games go Gemcraft is fairly famous. It's perhaps the quintessence of what other TD games aim to be. The fundamental idea is the same as any TD game, you try and stop incoming monsters by using your towers. The only twist is, in this game you get to mix various kinds of gems to create countless combinations of towers and their abilities. A must for all strategy game lovers.

Anyone who has ever played a couple of flash games has heard of the game Sonny. Sonny 2 has been one of the most played strategy games online. Sonny 2 is a turn based fighting game, significantly like the famous final fantasy, but with its own individual dark story. In the beginning of the game, you decide on your character's class, items and skills. From then on you may go on several battles of your choice, for gaining experience, gold and loot. A number of these battles will be a part of the story and some won't, but all of them will certainly be entertaining. You are going to then use the gold you got from the fights in the shop to buy a huge collection of items. One of the cool things about this game is that the items at the shop usually are not constant, and change frequently, which means you get to check after every battle for better items. Sonny 2 has story, awesome game play and excellent graphics and with an enormous ability tree and lots of weapons and classes this game is bound to keep you reeled in for a while.
