In World of Warcraft there are thousands almost 10's of thousands of quest to complete and mosters to kill. If you have leveled before then you would know that checking your quest, finding where to go and looking up the details and being lost can be a drag.
If your leveling a character and or a paldin then you could use a leveling guide like Zygors Guide, they have created a guide that will track and work all this out for you. It's a mod that will take all that pain away for you and your paladin or any other class. It doesn't play the game for you but it does keep track of it all, including the information you need to finish each quest.
Pick your start point and the Zygor's Guide will automatically update and advance you as you complete the quests. Never will you ever worry or wonder about what to do or where to go. You can hit level 85 in under 10 days. If you are fast, you may be able match Zygor's promoted time of 7 days. Heck, you might even beat it.
Back in the day Paladin where alliance only and where extremely hard to level. Paladins were even much slower than the shamans, priests, druids, and other healing classes. However, combining the increased questing experience with the change to experience gain, and some buffs since the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, means that Paladin leveling isn't as painful as it was, and now PvP is just tantalizing. That's because since then for many roles the Paladins have been the weapon of choice, providing a great deal of flexibility in this class.
With the series four patches the mechanics of the Paladin have changed. Of course just like all the other clasess the talents have been streamlined and have almost become more even and balanced. They remain incredibly flexible. They are still able to smash, heal, tank, etc., and they are most definitely a plenty of fun to play.
As a leveling Paladin you are going to excel in some areas. You will also hand out some serious damage, even though that is not really their specialty. If your looking to play a paladin then you will have to combine your spells for the to be affective and to be able to take other players down. Paladins are able to solo quest bosses that other classes aren't able to do, while healing significantly improves survivability.
Paladins can even talented at grinding. If you have good gear and you pay attention to bubbles and heals, paladins can round up many mobs and then consistently kill them. If your a lower level paladin and your having trouble leveling or need to find a group just go and play tank, and a equip a shield. At 30 you should buy the dual spec ability from your trainer and then make one of the builds protection, while you keep the other as retribution or holy, based on your preferences.
If you choose to tank in dungeons then you will find that you automatically get joined up because the wait time for tanks is super low. That means its breeze to level all the way to 85 and you will never have to leave the dungeon system. I know I Know it's super cool, easy and fast. It appears paladins are in good shape.
With Cataclym the powers that be are playing with the mechanics and the class balance. This means that pally damage will fluctuate between great and not so great. Of course this is the same for all classes and you really are in the hands of blizzard and the balancing section.
If you are a paladin you are restricted to the draenei, dwarf, taruen, blood elf, and human race. If your leveling a paladin then Draenie are the best for raids but not for PvP. Humans are number one for PvP. However, if looking good is what's important then you had best choose the dwarf race. So Bloodelfs arn't liked much around here =).
But if your looking at just leveling then non of the races will really make much of a difference. Also draenei have a 1% for all party members and is great for raiding and groups.
