Paintball Playing By The Rules

In the game of paintball, there are two teams in which each team is to eliminate the opposing team by shooting them with paint balls.

Here are the basic paintball rules that the players should follow:

Following the referee:

Paintball should have only one referee for each game. The referee's job is to start and end the game, stop and check for paint, and be the decision maker if there are problems or game issues. When the referee issues a verdict, keep in mind that it can't be repealed and is final.

You are out:

A player is no longer in the game if he or she is shot by a paintball marker that cracks or splatters on him or her. The rule will apply if the pellet or marker breaks on the equipment, clothes, or gun of the player. Regardless if the player gets hit by a teammate or enemy, they should yell "out" or "deadman" in reference to themselves. Immediately, they should leave the field and use the shortest and safest route all the while calling himself out.

When are you still in?

If a player is hit by a paintball marker and the marker does not crack or break, that player is still in the game. Also, if a player is accidentally splattered by a marker especially if that marker hit a rock, bush, or tree. However, this rule won't apply if the player mistakenly thought he was hit and calls himself "out" or "deadman." The rule says that they are still required to leave the field using the safest as well as shortest route.

Safety the best policy

All players are required to wear protective clothing that covers the arms, neck and legs. Wearing t-shirts during the game isn't allowed. During play, goggles are also a must and they shouldn't be removed while the game is going on.
