Computer Games In The Eighties: What Were The Best Ones?

In terms of computer games, the 1980s was a great decade. The fact that the audio and graphics of these games were not a patch on what we have today doesn't matter because what they lacked in graphics and sound, they more than made up for in game play. In fact there is a lot that the modern game developers could learn from these earlier offerings. The following are some of the best games of the eighties.

Donkey Kong

This was an addictive game that was really popular in its day and is still something that people like to play today. The aim is to climb ladders, jump of barrels, and keep on climbing until you capture the girl from the crazy gorilla. This game soon became the most successful game of the 1980s after being released in 1981. If you are thinking of trying out a retro game for yourself then Donkey Kong is definitely one to try.

International Karate

Of all the games from the eighties, International Karate has to be my personal favourite. This had a simple objective; you had to kick and punch your opponent in order to score points. There was no need to beat them into a pulp, but a good kick to the head would knock them out cold. This game also gave you the opportunity to break a lot of boards.

Asteroids

Although Asteroids was actually developed in 1979, it did not become popular until the eighties when it exploded onto the arcade scene. This game had graphics that were quite basic but it really did test your skill and strategy. If you were good at playing Asteroids it really did impress people because it wasn't an easy game at all.

Pac Man

This is one game I could never get bored of. It is another test of strategy as you go around eating pills and alternating between avoiding and chasing ghosts. There are many modern versions of this game but none have ever managed to improve upon the original.

carte r4 are available in a huge selection of products today. An RD card can give you an excellent example of a memory card. One more thing that you could find on your travels is the ps3 jailbreak.
