Much to the joy of supporters everywhere, last week a spokesperson for UK Top 40 chart toppers Jay Z and Beyonce revealed that the incredible Sasha Fierce songstress had just delivered a 7lb little girl - Blue Ivy Carter.
The star, 30, made a decision to give birth at the New York City Lenox Hill, where they had an entire private wing for their use which came at a whopping price of $1.3 million. The expense went on a renovated recovery centre, a team of 24/7 security staff in addition to a rumored bulletproof door.
However, the other expectant parents at the hospital were not happy with the disruption that the star couple's arrival brought with them, and were believed to have put in complaints about the effect it had on their own childbirth ordeals. Friends and family of the R 'n' B couple however, argued that all of the additional security was essential in protecting them from the invasion of the media press. Even so, the grievances weren't enough to put a damper on the glorious event, as the cool couple were not surprisingly busy with their new arrival!
Much to the surprise of everyone, within just two days of the birth of his daughter Jay Z had already taken to his website to release his new song 'Glory' which speaks of his joy at becoming a father. The single is to be released in the UK Top 40 charts, but is already ranked 74th in the US charts.
The tune, which pays honor to the baby Blue Ivy, tells you of his overwhelming feelings at the recent arrival, and also unveils past struggles the couple have undergone as a result of a miscarriage that Beyonce had formerly suffered.
Some of the lyrics in the song include: 'Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/ we was afraid you'd disappear / But nah baby you magic.'
And talking of his new daughter Jay Z goes on to rap: ' The most amazing feeling I feel, words can't describe what I'm feeling for real/ Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you.'
Poignantly, the song then concludes with a recording of Blue's first cries.
As a result, young Blue Ivy Carter has now made music chart history as the youngest ever person to take to the billboard charts! Blue is credited on the track, which says 'featuring B.I.C' which is the new born's initials.
Another star who was famous for using the sounds of his new born daughter crying on a music track was Stevie Wonder, with his 1975 release of 'Isn't she lovely'. However, unlike savvy rap mogul Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder didn't credit his daughter Aisha on the track making Blue the first new born to grace the charts.
With the arrival of possibly the worlds most talked about baby, have Jay Z and Beyonce finally achieved it all? As Jay Z says in his new song, we will all just have to 'wait for part two'. Once 'Glory' has been released in the UK, you can track its progress in the UK Top 40 countdown.
