Art pieces consisting of portrayals of a face or animal has awed its audience. How do artist capture life and imagination on paper? Art is a birthright for some, and for others it is an acquired skill.
Your eyes are always right
An artist's vocabulary is very distinct compared to everyone else. Objects portrayed by an artists are not provided a name by that artist. It is vital, but easy to for those learning to see. Studying items with your eyes makes it easier to draw.
Suppose you are trying to draw a face. What you may see with your eyes may not be what you can produce. Here is an explanation. Artists don't say to themselves 'I am drawing a nose,' because all noses are different. Concentrating on the structure of an item is more important. They look at the details, such as the line of the bridge of the nose. Artists relate small lines and areas of the nose to the rest of the structure of the face.
Your imagination is soaring
The difference, as taught to us by Betty Edwards in her exceptional book "Drawing on the Right side of the Brain," is that in order to allow your drawing to flourish, you must put your right brain in control.
The right and left side are two diverse components of the human brain. A persons ability to judge and show excellent organization skills can be determined by the left side of the brain. A quick look can determine what an object is. The logic side wins during the interview process.
On the other hand, the right side of the brain doesn't think in words. It analyzes creative elements. Undoubtedly. Its view is unique. Your right brain is stimulated by creativity. Examine an item without labeling before you get started. Your view is determined by how you view your lines. Look at where one line intersects another. Estimate the length of a line and its shape.
Carefully Study the Model
Keep a close eye on your object. You must find a line, and then capture that line on paper. In fact, many art instructors insist that it is more important to look at the object that you are drawing, than to look at your paper. Don't worry about the details yet, just concentrate on the line. The addition of certain items may be made after your first line is created.
If this process is new to you, it may take a while until you feel comfortable seeing the world this way. Work hard at it. There are many things that you can do with drawing.
