5 Reasons Most Players Cant Be Game Testers

Paid beta game testing isn't really that hard. If truth be told, you may actually go as far as to say that it's a simple job which doesn't call for a great deal of hard work. All you have to do is boot the game up, play through it, record the game's bugs & glitches, and then collect your paycheck after you are finished. Seriously, does this sound like a challenging job to you? Probably not!

5 Reasons You will Be Refused for Video Game Tester Job Openings...

- You do not have a next-gen game console and/or a high-end gaming PC. Possessing both is best, but either should do. If you're not up-to-date with the latest gaming technology, you don't have any hope at all.

- You do not have a video games testing resume. No resume, no consideration of any sort, plain & simple. Being a game tester means having to do actual work that NEEDS TO BE taken seriously. This isn't a hobby you do on the weekends -- this is a SERIOUS job.

- You've lousy grammar skills. Game testers fill out all kinds of reports & forms which are used by game engineers to fix & improve video game titles. If the reports are not thoroughly detailed and readily comprehended, the developers aren't able to do their job. If a programmer is unable to complete his duty, it more often than not implies the tester has not done his.

- You don't have at least 3 years of gaming experience. In all seriousness, you won't need to be a gaming legend that has mastered each and every video game on the market. But then again, you do have to have elementary knowledge of the gaming industry and how game development works. The more experience and understanding you have, the more well off you will be in terms of getting video game beta tester jobs.

- You are not at least 18 years of age. Some game developers are able to employ (under limitations) gamers who're 16 years of age. Then again, this is mostly a rare occurrence in the world of paid beta game testing.

If the 5 things in the above list are not an obstacle for you, then you are absolutely a prospect for expert beta game testing. All that's left for you to do would be to begin hunting for game tester jobs online -- and if you know where to look, then it's not going to take you more than a few weeks!
