Retro Gaming And Why I Love It

Retro games is something that I have only recently started playing and it really has been one of my better decisions I have to tell you. The games from back then are really lovely to play and there are some that really do provide great enjoyment and charm; something that you just don't get these days. Despite the fact that games these days have much better graphics and audio, there is more to gaming than this as I'm sure you would agree. Game play was the main focus years ago and this is very evident in these retro games. The fact that I played many of these games when I was a kid means that they bring back a lot of great memories; that is another reason why I love playing them.

My favourite blast from the past at the moment is Alex Kidd in Miracle World. What a great game this still is. Once you get back used to the simpler graphics it is impossible to not get sucked right into the game play. The last time I played this game I was just a teenager and each level I get to reminds me of something from back then. It is even better than listening to records from the past because gaming memories seem to be a bit more intense. And even though it has been more than twenty years since I have played these games, I can still remember how to get past certain tricky parts of the game.

I have not even had to shell out any money to get enjoyment from these retro games. Luckily I had just put my old console away in my parents attic and when I got it down, it still worked which was great. I also found enough games to keep me entertained again for a couple of years. Although I might be able to sell this and make some spare cash, I think it is worth more to me than that.
